Our President and CEO, Gilbert Santiago has been an innovator in ground transportation since 1993. Having worked for a large transportation company during his off duty hours from fire rescue, he learned the business of first class ground transportation and received the training which gave him the ability and confidence to take the industry to a new level.

During his tenure as an employee of a larger company he was involved with the logistics and transportation at events such as the Super Bowl, NBA All Star game, Doral Ryder Open, and Lipton Tennis tournament (now the Sony Ericsson Open).

Given the level of service required for such events, Mr. Santiago saw the need and opportunity for a truly reliable transportation company that could offer superior and unmatched service at competitive prices. Shortly after Blue Ridge Limousine was started in February 2003 and the concept of a company that offered first class, reliable service to ALL of its clients became a reality. With diligence and hard work he built the company's reputation which led to providing transportation for the annual Brewgrass Festival, model shoots for Boston Proper Catalog, Biltmore Estate Summer Concert series and many privately held events.

Born humbly in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn Mr. Santiago found and cultivated a love for Baseball. In the mid-80's when an injury forced him out of Baseball, he decided to move to what is now known as South Beach. There he worked in the service industry as a waiter, captain, bartender, manager, Maître'd, and consultant before becoming a firefighter. These experiences were vital to the creation of Blue Ridge Limousine because all of the service skills that he acquired were then carried over to his company.
